AREF Goals:

AREF supports educational projects in areas such as Music, Performing Arts, Arts and Culture, Science, Math, Technology, Recreation & Sports and Early Childhood Education. The Foundation supports opportunities for student success such as field trips, classroom projects, programs, enrichment activities, and other creative approaches that support our vision of success for the children and families of Alum Rock.

Our goals for 2010-2011 include ongoing fundraising for our Grant Initiative and establishing annual fundraisers to support the foundation, as well as various district programs.

$20,000 for Grants
Provide a minimum of 40 grants in the following areas:

• Field Trips
• Classroom Projects
• Program Activities
• Enrichment Activities

Student Impact: 4,500 Students

$15,000 for the Foundation
Provide funds to support the foundation as we work to develop future initiatives to support educational field trips, classroom projects, programs, enrichment activities and other creative approaches that support our mission and vision.

Student Impact: 12,500 Students

Additional goals to be determined as part of annual strategic and fundraising planning.
